Kenny Ice Cream Social & Green Fair
- Published: 19 May 2023 19 May 2023
Come to Kenny Park for the annual Ice Cream Social and — new this year — Green Fair! This celebration of summer happens on Thursday, June 22, 6-8 p.m. at Kenny Park next to the playground. In case of rain, we’ll share messages here and on social media the day of the event. We hope you can make it to our favorite event of the year!
Ice Cream Social
Enjoy free Sebastian Joe’s ice cream, story time with Hennein County Master Gardeners at 6:30pm, and a fabulous concert from the Crosstown Community Band at 7pm. Several ice cream flavors plus a GF/DF option will be provided. Sir Sydney Soapington, the Baron of Bubble; and Lady Rainbow of Balloon will also be at the park to delight neighbors with artistic bubbles and special balloon creations. Many thanks to City Church for sponsoring the ice cream! As always, they are a fantastic community partner in the neighborhood.
While you enjoy ice cream, learn from Hennepin County Master Gardeners, Adopt a Drain, Minneapolis Solid Waste & Recycling, Minneapolis Park Foresters, Electrify Everything, and more! Find ways to reduce your household’s environmental impact, improve our local water quality, and take action on climate change. Thanks to the Kenny Environmental Committee for organizing this exciting addition to our beloved annual event!
Special thanks to Field Outdoor Spaces and All Energy Solar for sponsoring the Green Fair — this event wouldn’t be possible without their generous support!
