KNA coordinates several events through the year such as the Annual Meeting (April), Kenny/Armatage Garage Sales (May), Kenny Ice Cream Social (June), the Kickin' Back at Kenny Summer Festival and Kickball Tournament (July) and the Buckthorn Bust (October/November).

We will also be scheduling several smaller scale networking events. Keep reading below and check back regularly for updates.

Many thanks to City Church for their sponsorship of this event. As always, they are a fantastic community partner in the neighborhood.

Renter & New Neighbor Gathering: May 26

New Neighbor Renter GatheringMeet other Kenny renters and new(ish) neighbors at a free dinner outdoors at Kenny Park on Thursday, May 26 from 6:00-7:30pm!

Hosted by the KNA Board, this is a great way to get more connected in our community. If you rent or have moved to the neighborhood in the last three years, you’re encouraged to come meet one another and get to know the Kenny Neighborhood Association.

We'll povide the pizza but please bring your own beverages. To make sure we have enough food, please RSVP by emailing us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or calling (612) 392-4477. If you didn't RSVP, that's ok and please come anyway!

Why just for new neighbors and renters? COVID-19 has made it more challenging for those who are new to the neighborhood to get to know one another and make connections. This year, we’re also focused on better reaching our neighbors who rent. We hope you stop by!

Kenny School Clean-up

Kenny School Garden SE Corner resizedSaturday, April 23 | 1:00pm
Kenny Elementary School (SE Corner)

This year, Hennepin County Master Gardeners will continue their partnership with Kenny Elementary School to create a pollinator garden at the SE corner of the school and they are looking for Kenny neighbors to join the fun!  This spring's Volunteer Kick-off will be on Saturday, April 23 at 1:00pm. Volunteers will get instructions, divide into teams, and get to work!  If you enjoy gardening, want to learn about gardening, or just want to volunteer for a fun neighborhood project, this is a great opportunity to get involved. No prior gardening knowledge is needed.

Save the Date: the Master Gardeners' Garden Tour is on July 9 and will feature the Kenny Elementary Pollinator Garden! More information to follow on the garden tour in the near future.
