Spring Street Sweeping
- Details
- Published: 01 May 2016 01 May 2016
Each spring and fall, Public Works crews sweep every mile of the City's more than 1,100 miles of streets – curb to curb – to help keep our neighborhoods clean and livable and to protect our waterways. Each spring, crews also sweep the nearly 400 miles of alleys as well. Leaves and other debris on the streets can clog storm drains and pollute our lakes and rivers.
ISO Garden Tool Donations to New Community Garden

Hi Neighbors! Kenny Neighborhood Association is VERY excited to be starting a Community Garden this spring and we are conducting a Garden Tool Drive. City Church (at 54th & Humboldt) has generously agreed to provide the garden space and has even given us access to an outside storage area. We are seeking donations of garden tools so that we can store them on-site rather than people having to transport them back and forth. Do you have any of these lying around your house or garage? We’d love to put them to good use:
wheelbarrows
spades
shovels
hoes
rakes
hand tools
gloves
stakes
chicken wire
