Poll Relocation - Minneapolis Elections Would Like Your Feedback!
- Details
- Published: 26 July 2017 26 July 2017
Elections & Voter Services staff is considering relocating the poll for the 13-9 precinct from Anthony Middle School to City Church, 1501 54th St W. There have been challenges in voter flow and some congestion at the Anthony Middle School site. Auditorium renovations in the past couple years have also reduced the amount of available space previously used on the floor.
While City Church lies further outside the precinct (approximately four blocks north of Anthony), it is within the one-mile statutory requirement, and offers ample, open floor space and parking.
Staff would appreciate your comments! This change would be in effect for the November 2017 Municipal Election and beyond. All registered voters would receive a postcard notice of the change via Hennepin County, should the relocation take place.
If you vote at Anthony Middle School and have an opinion in favor of or against relocating the poll, please contact Tim Schwarz by July 27 at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by calling 612-673-3136.
Tim will also have a table at the Kenny Summer Festival on 7/27- stop by to look at maps and provide your feedback.

Kickin' Back at Kenny
Thursday, July 27
5:30-8 p.m.
Kenny Park
Our big summer festival is fast approaching and we are looking for volunteers to help with carnival games. Its a super easy and fun job to interact with the kids and hand them a small candy prize for games like Plinko, duck pond, sucker pull, roulette, etc. Shifts are only one hour long and we'll give you a $5 voucher as a thank you that can be used at one of the food trucks.
Please take a look at the sign-up and pick a time slot. It takes a village to run a large community event and getting help with carnival games will go a long way in making it fun for everyone: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0d48afaf2da6f49-2017
Thank you and see you on the 27th!
