We’ve got a great Jazz combo lined up to entertain us while we are visiting, eating, playing and having fun at the festival. Trap Tube, made up of local youth (all heading to college this fall pursuing various musical interests) will be playing from 6-8 p.m.

Join us down at Kenny Park for a great evening of neighborhood fun!

Our annual neighborhood get together is coming soon and we’ve got a great night planned with a little something for everyone! We’ve got jazz music, food trucks (food available for purchase), a car show, information tables and FREE games and inflatables for the kids. And don’t forget to stop over and cheer on some neighborhood teams in the 2nd Annual Kickin’ Back Kickball Tournament.

We have worked hard to bring this low/no cost event to the neighborhood; donations would gladly be accepted.

Looking For Help to Spread New Wood Chips on the South Side Trail at Grass Lake

The trail on the south end of Grass Lake is looking a little worn, so we have arranged for a delivery of wood chips that will be spread on the trail to freshen it up. The wood chips will be delivered this week and we would love your help in getting those spread.

We’ll meet on Saturday, July 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to get the job done. We’re hoping it won’t take the whole time (many hands, wheelbarrows and shovels make light work!) and please feel free to come and go as your schedule allows.

Thanks for helping us continue to make our neighborhood jewel, Grass Lake, a treasure for everyone to enjoy. Hope to see you on Saturday!

We have just received notice that there will be two additional items at the KNA Meeting on 6/21 that may be of interest to Kenny Neighbors.

1. The owner of the new fitness club at 55th & Lyndale will share plans for the new facility.

2. The owners of the vacant lot at 5912 Girard Ave S (northeast corner of Grass Lake) will present their plans to build a new two bedroom home with support piers. This will require two variances.

The KNA meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Kenny Park (1328 W. 58th St, Minneapolis).

Gather your friends and families and put together a team for the 2nd Annual Kenny Community Kickball Tournament!
