As of February, 27th, 2019, Winter parking restrictions have been put in place. No parking on odd side of non-Snow Emergency routes, until April 1st.
When streets are narrowed by large piles of snow along the curb, for public safety reasons, Winter Parking Restrictions are put into place to limit parking to one side of many streets. That way, emergency vehicles and everyone else can continue to get around town.
Please check out the city web site for further information: http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/snow/snow_winter-parking-restrictions

For the next issue of the Kenny Neighborhood Newsletter, we’d like to highlight some personal stories of holiday giving and philanthropy. You don’t need to tell us how much you give (as a matter of fact, please DON’T tell us that!), but we’d like to know which charities some of you support and why.
Tell us about the charities you give to and why they are important to you- all the better if it has a Kenny connection, but that isn’t required. For instance, do you give in honor of a loved one? Do you give due to a personal experience with an organization? Have you started an organization because of your conviction for a cause? KNA will not be endorsing any specific organization, but is just trying to give a sampling of what is important to Kenny neighborhood residents. We will not print anything that is of a political nature (we all want to remain friends!)
Deadline: Oct. 21
Thanks in advance to all of you great neighbors in Kenny.

Share your opinion on bike and pedestrian improvements around Lake Calhoun (Bde Maka Ska) and Lake Harriet.
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board would like to gather public input regarding proposed trail and access improvements along the Lake Calhoun (Bde Maka Ska) and Lake Harriet bicycle and pedestrian trails. The project will rehab some existing trails and provide new pedestrian ramps around both lakes. Additionally, circulation improvements are planned for West Lake Street, Northeast Calhoun (Calhoun Refectory area), and Southeast Harriet. Circulation improvements seek to improve safety and overall visibility.
