As of February, 27th, 2019, Winter parking restrictions have been put in place. No parking on odd side of non-Snow Emergency routes, until April 1st.
When streets are narrowed by large piles of snow along the curb, for public safety reasons, Winter Parking Restrictions are put into place to limit parking to one side of many streets. That way, emergency vehicles and everyone else can continue to get around town.
Please check out the city web site for further information: http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/snow/snow_winter-parking-restrictions

We are excited to be continuing a new, more laid back and low cost neighborhood festival again this year. However, being laid back and low cost still requires some effort! We’re looking for some volunteers to help primarily with carnival games and clean-up. If you can spare an hour to help, we’d love to hear from you. Please check out our online sign-up to choose a time slot. Each volunteer will receive a $3 coupon to use with one of the vendors.
Thanks! We look forward to hearing from you and having a great neighborhood event on July 28.

UPDATE ON June 7, 2016:
In response to the recent press release and information regarding a proposed contamination site at 54th & Lyndale, Kenny Neighborhood Association has scheduled a public meeting with representatives of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and project staff to learn more about the situation. There will be several regulators present at meeting to provide information and answer questions. The MPCA will be represented by the project manager for technical questions, and a program director for questions related to administrative processes and timing. The Department of Health will also attend to address public health questions. All Kenny, Windom and Lynnhurst residents are invited to attend as the contamination site is on the border of the three neighborhoods.

There was discussion on another forum last weekend about why the Kenny/Armatage Garage Sales are held on Memorial Day weekend and raised the suggestion of trying a different weekend. The short answer is that we were trying to avoid all the other neighborhood-wide sales and to do it before vacation season hits. However, we are open to hearing your feedback and would consider moving the sale if that is what residents want.
We have put together a very short survey on Survey Monkey to determine the interest level in moving the date and what possible dates might work better. Whether you typically host a sale or just like to shop, please click on this link and let us know your opinions.
The survey will close on June 17. Thank you for your participation and being a voice in your neighborhood!
